School Bus Pass for 2025-26 Ready

After the success of last year's bus pass program the Buffalo Area Transit System will be keeping the Monthly Bus Pass for kids for 2025-26. This was a real hit last year to get to school, daycare and after school programs. We have also had families asking for an annual bus pass for the kids. So we decided to offer just that! It can be hard for parents to remember to purchase a pass each month with so many activities going on, and to make it easy for families we are now offering an Annual pass that would cover a child for the entire school year, we feel this pass is an outstanding value and a great option for those who want to cover the whole school year.

More Seating will give us a chance to provide many more rides for our community

With the continuing increase in the volume of rides for those going to work, medical appointments, school, shopping and other activities. And for Buffalo Area Transit to ensure everyone has fair and easy access to our system, we’ve created a safe and more efficient program for our passengers and drivers. We are making some bold moves like adding two more Pro Master Vans with more seating capacity to reduce stress on our system and ensure prompt efficient service for the entire Buffalo Area community.

New September Bus Passes as well as Annual Passes are available to purchase now in time to get ready for the new 2025-26 school year ahead. New Monthly Passes will be available in the middle of each month to give parents time to purchase. Annual Passes will be good for the entire school year. We have the option to book the rides now for an entire school year, so if you want per month or the whole year the option is yours.

New Passes for the 2025 - 2026 School Year

Each Bus Pass will cost $30.00 Per month, with the Annual Pass costing a one time fee of $250 each. Passes must be purchased at the New Buffalo Area Transit System office located on the West Side of the Buffalo Senior Center. Outside access to this new office is available via S Cedar St. Monday – Friday 7:00 am to 4:40 pm for pass purchases. Parents will also set up the bookings for the month or year at the time of purchase. This gives parents a chance to set the month up as they need, and customize it with days off for vacations or other activities etc. Proper scheduling will reduce the amount of no shows each month.
