The Buffalo Area Transit System is moving forward with new buses in 2025. Soon you will see our fleet of Ram Pro-master 3500’s with the Q1 Wheelchair restraint around town. Our fleet is one of the first in the state to offer three of these cutting edge Q1 wheelchair systems for our community.

The Q1 system makes for a much faster and more comfortable ride for our passengers who require a wheelchair to ride. The overall experience our passengers feel with Q1 is profound. The system makes for a less invasive experience with the driver able to keep out of the passengers personal space much better than with the old system.

The pro-master is a reliable bus with better seating to accommodate more passengers giving the community more available ride times and space. We will be able to serve more passengers throughout the day making for a more productive ride experience for everyone.
Having buses that allow us to seat more passengers is a game changer for Buffalo as we serve families who’s kids go to daycare and school, we are now able to serve more families. The same for those using BATS to get to work, we can provide more ride times and make more happen for our community on a daily basis. The ability to be able to provide more time windows for people to get to appointments and work is a big deal.

As we strive to serve everyone in our community who need transportation, the addition of these busses is much needed and a sign of the growth of our community. Visit WYBATS.com for more info on our service.
