The Buffalo Area Transit System operates a fleet of 6 busses and provides over 30,000 rides annually across Johnson County. We have upgraded to three Pro Master on demand buses equipped with the state of the art Q1 system, a wheelchair restraint system making serving our entire community safe, accessible, and efficient. Buffalo Area Transit System operates an On Demand system which means each route is filled with rides via dispatch, instead of fixed stops, even though there is some consistency to each route, everyday has something new to enjoy.

Previous Bus operator or commercial driving experience is not required but is an asset. Training will be provided, with First Aid, CPR, and TSI (Transportation Safety Institute) mandatory for all drivers and continued recertification. Training will be an ongoing regular thing with the Buffalo Area Transit System. We are striving for an elite team of Professional Bus Drivers, training will be a key part in building this team. Participation in the WYDOT Bus Rodeo is Recommended as an optional driver experience and training.

Safety is always first on our minds here, A Pre-Employment drug and alcohol test is required prior to filling a safety sensitive role on our team. All new applicants will be required to take an alcohol and drug test and must have a negative test result for Employment with the Buffalo Senior Center / Buffalo Area Transit System. All employees in a safety sensitive role will be subject to Random and or Reasonable Suspicion, & Post Accident drug & alcohol testing, as defined in the Buffalo Senior Center Drug & Alcohol Policy.

We are looking to fill roles, Full time driver, Part Time driver and Part Time Spare Driver. Full time role includes Vision, Dental and company matched IRA benefit. Bring your resume or fill out an application, a valid Wyoming Drivers License to the Buffalo Area Transit System office located on the west side of the Buffalo Senior Center across from the baseball park.
