Sheridan & Gillette Rides
Buffalo's Public Transportation Leader
Buffalo Area Transit System in collaboration with Goose Creek Transit has upgraded our service for Sheridan. This comes with new costs but allows us the chance to serve more of you each week. The following is how it will work.
To Book a Sheridan Ride, first you must call Goose Creek Transit at 307-675-7433 and arrange your Sheridan Rides. Once you have confirmed reservations with Goose Creek, you will call Buffalo Area Transit System and arrange your ride to Sheridan. NOTE: We can accommodate only 1 Wheelchair rider Round Trip, per service day.
AM Buffalo Departure
We will depart from the Senior Center in Buffalo at 7:30 am, we will pick up in-town residents between 7:40 am & 7:50 am. We may make stops in Story on the way if needed to pick up residents. Our arrival in Sheridan will be between 8:40 am and 9:00 am at the Hub Senior Center in Sheridan. There you will board Goose Creek Transit to your Sheridan destinations.
AM Sheridan Departure
Buffalo Area Transit will depart from the Hub in Sheridan at exactly 9:00 am and return to Buffalo. When we have riders from Sheridan they too will have booked with BATS in advance, and will board the Bus at the Hub in Sheridan and ride to the Buffalo Senior Center. There you will board Buffalo Area Transit to your Buffalo destinations.
PM Buffalo Departure
For the visitors we bring to Buffalo from Sheridan we will depart from Buffalo Senior Center at exactly 1:00 PM 13:00 no exceptions. If you are not at the Buffalo Senior Center ready to depart for Sheridan you will need to make other arrangements or plan to stay at a hotel until the next Bus. The bus will be in Sheridan & Buffalo Monday, Wednesday & Friday’s. It is vital you be back to the Buffalo Senior Center to board the bus back to Sheridan BEFORE 1:00 PM
PM Sheridan Departure
We will depart from Sheridan at exactly 2:00 PM 14:00 no exceptions. If you are not at the Sheridan Hub ready to depart for Buffalo you will need to make other arrangements, or plan to stay at a hotel until the Bus arrives back in Sheridan. The bus will be in Sheridan Monday, Wednesday & Friday’s. It is vital you be back to the Hub to board the bus back to Buffalo BEFORE 2:00 PM Once the bus departs the Hub it will make a stop at the Sheridan Airport when needed, and roll back to Buffalo and drop everyone off at their destination.
It is important to remember if you have appointments that will cause you to be late to the Hub in Sheridan at 2:00 pm make sure you book your hotel room or you make other arrangements in advance. You can arrange for Goose Creek to transport you to and from your hotel. This strict time frame is to make sure our driver has time to complete the rides for other riders depending on him throughout the day.
The Fare schedule for Sheridan and Gillette rides will be increasing to bring them up to date. Fare for Gillette will be more as our driver will be remaining in Gillette making for a larger overall cost for the trip. This new ride program will allow us to serve more riders to Sheridan each week. We will have a 2 bag limit for shoppers to insure safety for our riders and to have enough room for everyone. The following is the new fare schedule for BATS Transportation and the in-town fare set for Goose Creek Transit in Sheridan.
BATS Sheridan Fare one way $8.00 Round Trip $16.00 or $75.00 for a Sheridan Bus Pass with 10 one way punches.

BATS Gillette Fare one way $20.00 Round Trip $40.00

Goose Creek Over 60 years old $3.50 per ride or 10 tickets for $30.00
Goose Creek Under 60 years old $5.50 per ride or 10 tickets for $50.00
